Doodle #1

I doodle. A lot. And up until now, the only people who have seen my doodles are my wife, kids, and co-workers. But starting today, I’m going to post my doodles to ByteEngine. The doodles will be in random states of completeness, may or may not have color, will be of varying sizes and shapes, and are usually something completely of my imagination. Like them or hate them, feel free to let me know.

Here’s the first one, by virtue of it being the last one I did.

Readability - Make web pages more readable

From the site:

Readability is a simple tool that makes reading on the Web more enjoyable by removing the clutter around what you’re reading.”

Brrr!

merlin:

The Flash Blog » The iPad provides the ultimate browsing experience?
Wow. That’s a pretty damning demo.
Which would have looked like this if it had been rendered in Flash instead of a JPEG:

Guess I’ll have to get used to the blue legos; until you get used to the rapidly accelerating irrelevance.

As far as I’m concerned, I vote NO FLASH on the iPod/iPhone/iPad. Ever.

iPad - Why it will Rock

Yes, I watched the Apple event (live via a rogue UStream feed), and I totally get everyone’s initial disappointment. And yes, there are a ton of things that the iPad doesn’t do; I get it. Really. Remember that this is Apple, they pay attention to details, and what they didn’t put into the iPad (camera, multitasking, etc.) speaks just as loudly as what they did put into it. That said, and with one pic, here’s why it’ll rock:

This is just music. Now think of Healthcare, Insurance, Hospitality, Restaurants… the list goes on. Finally, a device with an OS built to intelligently handle (multi-)touch input, with (based on reports) a super-fast processor, and full connectivity. Is it everything I had hoped it would be? No. Will I be buying one? Well, my Kindle DX is for sale on eBay. Just sayin’.
